Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Lately I have been searching for a really good cholocate chip cookie recipe. I used to have a couple, but something is up with my oven out here where we live! It seems everytime we move some things bake differently. It might be the fact that my oven is not set at the right temperature and cooks everything different, I really should check that. Well I was happy after a couple weekends of trying to find a good cookie recipe, I was successful! If you like sweet, soft and chewy, you will love these!

Makes 2 dozen

Ingredients:

1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup cooking oats
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1/2 cup of butter

Directions:

Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Use the back of a large spoon to work it all together. Sometimes I have to use my hands to get it all worked together. Spoon the cookie dough into the cookie sheet like in the picture above, place on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven.

Pretty dang yummy cookies! Goes great w/ a glass of milk! :)
